On indications for repeat liver transplantation

Objective : to study the causes of graft loss and indications for repeat liver transplantation (rLT). Materials Methods . We studied experience garnered from 250 orthotopic full-size cadaveric transplantations in 228 patients 1998 2021. The severity patient’s condition at time intervention was estimated according MELD scale. Repeat surgeries were performed 22 cases 19 (analyzed group). Results Organ preservation parameters, length stay intensive care unit (ICU), postoperative complications primary general analyzed group did not differ significantly. main arterial insufficiency (57.9%) hepatic artery thrombosis (21%). Severe early allograft dysfunction (EAD) nonfunction accounted 10.5%, portal vein occurred 5%, chronic rejection noted 5% cases. Conclusion. Arterial is one leading after transplantation. Early correction biliary help preserving viability.
